Inspiration...

Many artist base their illustration and works on music and sounds they hear. However in this work I am particularly drawn to the work of Wassily Kandinsky, most of his work was based upon the interpreatation from sound to abstract painting, and this is the part which I am interested in.

since I have began to specialise in illustration my outcomes have always seemed to be more sucessful using the untraditional methods of appling lines and marks to paper, for example using edges of cards, and it seems to work for me. (After plenty of practice and tries)

The qualities of the abstraction of lines and geomtric shapes is what I want to bring forward into my works to enable that I am able to create what I am thinking in my mind to paper.

I am going to limit myself to two/three colours in one particular piece due to the thought of printing costs as this is a realistics factor in a live brief to consider.

using a variety of inks and acrylics to create the lines.
